I heard on Triple J tonight that the Gold Coast Titans cannot pay the bills to rent the stadium at Robina because of their ongoing poor crowds. They lose money every week as they cannot even break even. There was also a suggestion that the Titans play all of their home games at regional centres around Queensland.

If the team have to do this to stay afloat, they may as well shut down their operation.

What is with sport on the Gold Coast? It seems like the eternal black hole for all sporting franchises.....nobody seems to survive there despite a large enough population to do so.
