Collingwood gains one million in revenue from their growing digital media business. Revenue comes from product placement, sponsorship and making media content for sponsors. But Collingwood has to pay $500 000 into a pool distributed to the poorer clubs. The NRL makes some Nrl clubs poor by poor scheduling, little free to air exposure and flow on lack of third party input. That wealth then flows to the chosen Friday night regular clubs without any compensation sought. Within time those unchosen clubs go broke and need to be bailed out. At least the Afl are not standing by watching it happen
