FORMER NRL star Brett Finch will be off the air for a number of weeks as he undergoes treatment for health issues. The 33-year-old is believed to be undergoing treatment in a rehab clinic that specialises in anxiety, depression, drugs and alcohol abuse, according to a report in The Sunday Telegraph.
Both Channel 9 and 2GB — the networks Finch is employed by — confirmed he stood himself down from a position in the commentary teams last week.
Finch’s manager Steve Gillis also confirmed Finch, who played three State of Origin games for NSW, had taken a break from work for medical reasons.
