Academy joint venture

As our academy keeps getting stronger and stronger, i was thinking it would be a good idea for the club to have an agreement with another club who has a strong junior development.

This way we could do player trades for guys who are destined for first grade but are surplus in our first grade system.

If you look at a team like Parra where our backrow stocks are quite strong in first grade (when all fit) If a kid coming thru is knocking the door down to play first grade but all spots are filled you probably will lose him or have to make a spot for him by moving a current first grader on. This may not actually strengthen your team.

Planning for the future-You could say we are very weak on outside backs, and there isn't too much coming thru IMO that are first grade quality. So it could be a case of trading a guy like Aloiai for a Jennings as an example.

It would benefit both teams. If you where a team who had a 23yld fullback for example Moylan/Dugan who could play there for another 8 years there would be no real point putting too much effort into developing an 18yld and get him ready for first grade just for another club to take him when ready.

Just a thought!
