I've said it for years - getting rid of this anachronistic rule would clear up an area of ambiguity which doesn't have to exist. I'd rather see a bloke struggle for the line than see him have to overcome the natural instinct to get the ball over the line. Ref still has discretion to call held where necessary. And it would eliminate howlers like the one in tonight's Melb-Manly shocker.
Dump the double movement rule
