We've got a five minute sin bin in our group this year. It's specifically been brought in for swearing and other offences would still need to be dealt with via a 10 minute bin (or send off obviously). But the point is, if a country group can bring in a five minute bin for a specific offence there is no reason the NRL can't do it without even changing the rules. After all, the rules just say a referee can temporarily suspend a player for professional fouls or foul play. Of course that rule also already allows refs to bin players for foul play and they ignore it.
So if people have an anxiety attack over a 10 minute binning because they think it's a terrible injustice and will ruin the game there can be a simpler option. This needs to be combined with binnings for foul play, like when players go on report. There's been a lot of talk about this lately but still no action.

5 min sin bin = win (get in)
