Paul Gallen is getting frustrated at the delays in his future at Cronulla being secured.

A worried Gallen is telling mates he is at the stage where he is prepared to entertain the thought of moving to a rival NRL club – something that would have been unheard of a few months back.

Although a Parramatta junior, Gallen has played all his grade football at the Sharks since joining the club way back in 2001.

Now aged 33, Gallen has one last contract in him and doesn’t want to take his young family to England.

That leaves him with two options – staying a one-club man or playing the final stages of his career at a rival club.

The delay in finalising the deal with Cronulla is believed to be over the length of the contract.

On the triple m grill team he mentioned he wants a 2 year deal however the club at this stage is only prepared to offer him 1 year. He sounded very content about moving on if that's what he needed to do. I think 1 year is a very sensible decision if you ask me
