Let me start this off by saying I believe Luke Lewis is our best player and I am a frustrated fan.
Lewis has played 28 games for us since he came on board for the 2013 season. Only 1 of those games he made a real impact which was the game vs Newcastle in Newcastle where he basically won us the game on his own. Of these 28 games he has been shifted between backrow, centre and 6. Chuck a rep jersey on him and he is one of the best on the field. When did he even play his last game for us? How do we get the best out of him? It doesn't even feel like he is at the club.
In the same period the other big name backrow signing of 2013, Tony Williams has played 52 games for the Dogs. Would we have been better off signing T-Rex?
Nigel Vagana gets panned as our worst purchase but if you look at the stats he played 62 games for us in 3 years and scored 32 tries. What I'd do for a centre that could give us that production now. Ben Ross in his first stint managed 45 games for us in 3 seasons yet was under the spotlight for missing so much action on big bucks.
