Transfer Policy

Does the club even have one? I don't know if transfer policy is the right term but does the club have a general strategy when signing, retaining and releasing players?

I think the club does have a strategy but it's a bad/crap strategy... Something along the lines of try to keep locals at the club even if they are crap.

I think we need something along the lines of:

1. Never sign wingers from other clubs. Never pay wingers more than 10% over minimum wage.

2. Fullback, one of the halves, the hooker, one backrower and one prop should be eligible for up to half the cap.

3. Players over thirty years old only get contracts of two years length.

If we look at teams like Manly or the Bulldogs, they are known for their aggressive forward play and sign players in that mold. For the Storm, they have always had an amazing spine and then sign players who will be role players on less than spectacular money.

I think working on a grand strategy is so important. We sorta have one, try to keep locals at all costs, but it's clearly not working...
