The local NRL Official called a meeting to discuss the future of Rugby League in Tassie on our facebook page. It was the first post there since November 7 2014. That is 6 months. The meeting was not successful so he has declared

Thank you to those who attended the NRL Tasmania Community Forum last night.
From discussions it was determined that it was not possible nor feasible for a structured club based competition to occur moving forward. Until such time that there is sufficient interest and cooperation from within the community, no competition in the same format will be planned for next season.
If any individuals or clubs wish to contact us to discuss opportunities and how they can get involved to help shape Rugby League in Tasmania we would be more than happy to hear from you.'
The Rugby League Community in Tasmania has a response. We are going to let this fella have a little rest after that effort and do it ourselves.
The comp died because we, the Tasmanian Rugby League Community, were thrown out of it and it was run by the VRL. We are not interested in 'cooperating' with a body that has treated us with such contempt. Watch this space.
